Odyssey Expeditions: integrated travel for the family

About Our Program

The Wellspring Odyssey is our family travel program which extends of our shared pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness. These journeys invite families within our Scholé community, and families participating in affiliated homeschool programs, to encounter history, culture, and ideas in the region where their story began. Travel invites us into a deeper level of attentiveness. By stepping into the landscapes of Scripture, classical antiquity, early America, and the shaping moments of Western civilization, we are reminded that the world is ordered, meaningful, and worthy of careful study. Seeing what has endured across centuries strengthens understanding as well as gratitude and wonder.

What to Expect

  • Family-centered travel experiences
  • Guided historical and cultural interpretation
  • Thoughtfully planned itineraries
  • Monthly payment plans
  • Space for reflection, discussion, and shared discovery
  • Domestic journeys are offered regularly
  • International destinations rotate over time

Recent international travel has included Greece, Turkey (including ancient Ephesus), Italy, England, and France—locations central to the Western intellectual and artistic tradition.

How It Shapes Our Learning

Travel gives us undistracted time to encounter what we study together—in beautiful places shaped by history, with space for conversation and shared meals. In this way, it becomes a tangible expression of unhurried attention to what endures—our Scholé model lived out.

Upcoming opportunities

Fall 2026 — New England Experience: Plymouth · Boston · Salem

A multiple day expedition where we'll enrich our studies of Early American culture and government by tracing the Pilgrim settlement, the growth of early New England communities, and the Revolutionary movement that followed.
